The start of play remained at 1:30pm and, in fact, they were even more ambitious. But after Thursday’s debacle – and two days of rain interruptions earlier in the week – The All England Club did not adjust their plans to avoid another late-night thriller being cut-off on Friday. That organisers could not complete three matches on their main show court should be a red flag.
